June’s is named for my father, Junior Lawrence Hunte, who passed at 61. He loved deeply, lived fully, and left too soon.

This brand was built by his daughter and his partner — my mother and me — as a way to carry what he left behind. Not just his memory, but the way he moved through the world. The Sunday tables, the open door, the people who always felt welcome.

June’s is the life he taught us to live. We’re just sharing it now.
